Remembrance Day 2018

PILTON REMEMBRANCE SERVICE 11/11

There will be a short Act of Dedication of the names that have been added to Pilton War Memorial at 10.50am. This will be followed by the Act of Remembrance before moving to the Parish Church for the Remembrance Service.

It would be good to see as many local residents as possible as well as relatives of Cecil Bailey, Cecil Clerk, Cornelius Higdon, Frederick Higgins and Norman Lomas, whose names have been added to honour the one hundredth anniversary of the end of the First World War.

“When you go Home, tell them of us and say, For your Tomorrow, we gave our Today”.

Remembrance Sunday – 11th November 2018

Royal British Legion Members and friends are invited to enjoy a meal together in the Winding Lake Room at PWMC/Village Hall after the Remembrance Service. If you would like to attend, please telephone Godfrey Gingell on 899136 and he will make the necessary bookings with the PWMC Carvery.
