Help us donate 100% of money raised by becoming a Sponsor

We want to raise money for a local charity (Children’s Hospice South West) and are therefore looking for local sponsors to cover our costs (about £200). This would enable us to donate ALL entrance fees charged (@£5) to the charity.

Would you be willing to sponsor the Run ? If so, could you please let us know by sending a cheque or cash donation to Chris King at the address below. Becoming a Sponsor will entitle you to be named in the Festival Run Programme but should you wish to remain anonymous we can ensure that you do - just indicate your preference.

Please print off the Final information Document above, read it, and then bring it with you on the day. It is vital that you also open the Runners list to find the number that you will be running under, if you don’t know your number to get it from the Pavilion, then you will not be allowed to Run!

Well, that’s it, the first Festival Run is now over and everyone had a wonderful time even though the weather in the week before the event and on the morning itself allowed us to continue the popular ‘Glastonbury Festival’ theme of mud and moisture.

There were approximately 250 runners in the end. Our provisional figures show that we will be able to give an amazing £1500 to Children’s Hospice South West, the Organizers would like to thank everyone for their generosity, our final accounts will be posted in next few days.

Special thanks to all of the Volunteers who made the event run so smoothly and also to all of the entrants who did us proud, some photo’s will be posted in a little gallery here after Thursday this week, if you have a photgraph yourself that you would like to share then please e-mail it to festivalrun@piltonvillage.co.uk and if space allows we will include it.

Thank you once again, you made it a very memorable day.
